Not every dog is the same ā and thatās totally okay. Some thrive in social settings with other dogs, others prefer quiet company. So how can you tell if your dog would enjoy boarding or daycare at Marleyās Pals?
Here are some things to consider:
š¶ 1.
Is your dog confident and sociable?
Dogs who enjoy meeting new people and other dogs often love daycare and boarding. If your pup is tail-wagging at the gate and excited for walks, theyāll likely settle quickly and enjoy the stimulation.
š 2.
Does your dog get bored or destructive at home alone?
If your dog is chewing, pacing, or crying when left alone, they may benefit from the structured routine and companionship of daycare ā especially with plenty of play and enrichment.
š¾ 3.
Has your dog stayed away from home before?
Dogs whoāve had positive overnight stays (even just with friends or family) are often more comfortable adjusting to a kennel environment.
š§ø 4.
How does your dog cope with change?
Some dogs need time to adjust, especially if theyāre nervous or rescue pups. Thatās where our experience comes in. We take everything slow and gentle ā letting your dog go at their own pace, with one-on-one time, quiet spaces, and plenty of reassurance.

ā BONUS TIP:
Daycare is also a great starting point for dogs who might board with us in the future ā it builds familiarity, trust, and confidence. Think of it like a school induction before a weekend sleepover!
